Workshops aimed at women artisans and traders of the Chilean Patagonia, with a total duration of 11 weeks. Through videos and WhatsApp groups they were given digital tools to use from their cell phones, in order to improve promotion and increase sales of their products, as a response to the pandemic that has affected the various productive sectors of the region, especially tourism.
Weavers of the End of the World

Patagonia. 12 women weavers, 12 stories. Here it is the weaver herself who tells her story. Each in her own style but all charged with strength, frankness and wisdom. Through memories and stories, they share part of their lives with us and bring us closer to a world where learning is not necessarily achieved in schools or in a classroom, but rather by taking care of the animals, surviving the cold, raising children, and farming.
Pampa Renaissance

The objective of this project was to revitalize community cohesion in Baquedano, a small town located in the heart of the Atacama desert. Social reflection and the creation of a collaborative work of art in the public space revealed the community’s identity and shared memory. Using methodologies to foster dialogue, knowledge exchange and the creation of new networks, intergenerational communication was reactivated and the social fabric was strengthened.

During my studies at Otago Polytechnic, I did my research looking for cultural connections between Chile and New Zealand.
The coordination of a two months artistic residence of the outstanding Chilean artisan Max Sepúlveda, in addition to the production of an exhibition of traditional pottery and Latin American textiles, public interventions and open workshops for students and the participation of the local community were part of this project, that I designed and co-executed in collaboration with the Dunedin Art School, using Community and Māori frameworks with the aim to generate an intercultural dialogue.

My practice was focus on the importance in which cultural identity matter, respecting and valuing who students are and where they come from, building on what they bring with them, to promote a vocational education through memorable learning experiences that fostered values.
This practice included projects such as an organic orchard, classroom murals, field trips, workshops and expos, all in alliance with families, local peasants and business.
Limarí Tourist Experiences

With the team we developed a marketing plan for the Limarí Valley and co-created diverse touristic experiences, highlighting local attractions, by articulating the work of 45 entrepreneurs of the Province in collaboration with Municipalities and Government agencies, to develop instances of productive linkage, association and diversification.
This project aimed to generate new employment opportunities, especially for women, who were the leaders of small and medium enterprises providing tourism services.
Revaluation on Clay-craft Techniques

This initiative was a transformative personal and community learning journey based on the re-valorization of a pottery technique as a tool to engage people for volunteer participation, setting strategic priorities, creating safe spaces to share personal experiences and ideas in order to develop critical thinking, access to knowledge, improve self-esteem and socio emotional well-being.

The foundation operates in different Chilean regions and our work is focused on 3 main areas; Research and Registration of Trades and Traditions, Education and Entrepreneurship & Culture.
Under these lines of work, I have been focusing on grant funding, production of books, exhibitions and facilitating workshops as part of the process to support the safeguarding of narratives and testimonies of weavers in Patagonia, in order to spread their trade, their techniques and the importance of their knowledge.
